Company Update

Changes to our Executive Leadership Team

The Advanced Buildings and Restorations Team are proud to confirm an exciting change to our client facing portfolio. Megan Governi will be taking up the mantle of our Head of Client effective immediately albeit on a part-time basis, transitioning to full time on 1 April 2023.

Megan joined Advanced as State Manager in Victoria in April 2021 and has been part of the industry for 13 years. Megan is well known as someone who “just gets things done”.

From her current role as State Manager, Victoria, Megan has consistently demonstrated practical leadership in this space with clearly articulated and in-depth knowledge of what the modern client wants. This senior National role is a key step as we strive every day to be “easy to work with”.  Additionally, it is a step that sits alongside our other initiatives around a new ERP system, staff development and a more accessible public profile.

Megan has recently transitioned her Victorian team to new premises in Port Melbourne and has just completed a successful round of recruitment to augment our awesome Advanced Team in Victoria. From this point on, we expect that you will see a more focussed and effective effort in our client service proposition from the whole Advanced Group!

With kind regards and thanks for your continued support,
Advanced Buildings and Restorations.

Modern Slavery Statement

Modern slavery describes situations where offenders use coercion, threats, or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom.

Practices that constitute modern slavery can include:

  • human trafficking
  • slavery
  • servitude
  • forced labour
  • debt bondage
  • forced marriage, and
  • the worst forms of child labour

Modern slavery is a term used to describe serious exploitation. It does not include practices like substandard working conditions or underpayment of workers, though these practices are also harmful and may be present in some situations of modern slavery.

Advanced Buildings and Restorations (ABR) agrees with the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) that commenced operation on 1 January 2019. As a leader in our industry, ABR recognises the importance of our commitment to ensure the operation of our business is done in an ethical and lawful manner by ensuring we only work with those businesses who are aligned to our core values.

ABR expects our suppliers to operate in accordance with all applicable modern slavery laws including those prohibiting human slavery and slavery like practices, human trafficking and child labour. We value and observe all laws regarding corporate social responsibility, environmental and workplace safety protection and staff inclusion and diversity.
